Privacy Policy — Nothing Button

Nothing Button ("the app") collects and shares the limited user data described in this policy. All network traffic is sent over HTTPS to LootLocker (lootlocker.com), which hosts the leaderboard and friend-challenge storage. No advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs are integrated, and no other third parties receive any data.

Leaderboard

The app uses LootLocker (lootlocker.com) to host a global weekly leaderboard. The leaderboard processes the following data on LootLocker's servers:

• A pseudonymous player identifier (the device's LootLocker session ID, or your Google account ID if you sign in). On Android, this identifier is derived from the device's ANDROID_ID — a per-app, non-personally-identifying value provided by the Android operating system that does not require any permission to access. It is not the device serial, IMEI, phone number, or any cross-app advertising identifier. ANDROID_ID allows the app to recognize the same device across reinstalls so the user's leaderboard score is preserved.
• Your cumulative tap count for the current weekly leaderboard period.
• The LootLocker session token and refresh token used to keep your leaderboard entry associated with your device/account.

LootLocker may log server-side request metadata (IP address, user agent) as part of normal API operation. LootLocker's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy: lootlocker.com/privacy.

If you sign in with Google, your Google account ID is shared with LootLocker for the sole purpose of associating your leaderboard entry with you across devices. The app does not access your Google account email, contacts, or any other Google profile data.

Google Sign-In

The app uses Google Sign-In only to identify you to the LootLocker leaderboard. We request a minimal scope: the ID token used by LootLocker to validate the session, and the basic profile display name. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google account settings.

Advertising

The app displays no advertising. No ad networks are integrated.

Children

The app is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Friend Challenges

The app offers an optional friend challenge feature. When you create or accept a challenge:

• Your tap timeline (millisecond offsets of each tap during a 30-second run), your final score, and your display name are written to LootLocker's Player Storage and marked public. This data is visible to anyone who knows your short player code.
• When you race a friend's challenge, your result (scores, winner, and display names) is also stored publicly on LootLocker Player Storage.
• Challenge codes and result codes are shared via your device's standard share menu (ACTION_SEND). You choose the app used to share — we do not transmit codes on your behalf.
• This data is processed by LootLocker on their servers and is governed by LootLocker's Privacy Policy: lootlocker.com/privacy.

If you do not sign in with Google, the friend challenge feature is unavailable. You can delete your Player Storage data by contacting the developer at the email below.

Data Deletion

The app stores all data locally on your device. Uninstalling the app removes all local data. To request deletion of any leaderboard or Player Storage data held by LootLocker, contact the developer at the email below.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the app or on this page.
